The long, hot days of late summer seem to have suddenly vanished, and the icy-cold nights of winter have appeared.
Weymouth YC has finished its season, and members are starting to disperse to other clubs in the area - We are always keen to support other local clubs.
Manukau Yacht and Motor Boat Club have their Trailer Yacht series. A few Weymouth boats will be attending, albeit only occasionally in my case.
Panmure Lagoon Sailing Club have their assorted Laser race series, I hope to do the River Race series.
Pakuranga Sailing Club at Farm Cove have their famed Dinghy Winter Series, where our affiliated Scout Cutter and Sunbursts should be frequently seen. I hope to attend a few of these, probably fighting with the love of my life over who gets to go sailing!
Each of these programs can be found in the Sailing Calendars section on our website.
Keep up to date with what's going on around the Manukau Harbour, South Auckland, with all that matters to sailing enthusiasts. The Manukau is NZ's second largest harbour, very tidal, and houses five active sailing clubs. It is on the west coast, and there is at least one big multi-club invitational regatta each year. This site affiliated with Weymouth Yacht Club, which is on the fringe of Manukau City.
